Acute Care Physical TherapistAn opportunity is available for an experienced Acute Care Physical Therapist to provide compassionate care and rehabilitation services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves working directly with a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques and assessments.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of patients and develop individualized treatment plans.Provide rehabilitation services to patients in acute care settings, including ICU and medical-surgical units.Implement and monitor home exercise programs to promote patient recovery and independence.Educate patients and their families regarding care plans, exercises, and therapeutic goals.Utilize assistive devices and demonstrate appropriate body mechanics and lifting techniques.Perform strength testing, pain assessments, and evaluations of skin integrity and vital signs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and discharge planning.Document patient progress and reassess treatment strategies as needed.QualificationsCurrent Physical Therapy license in California.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.A minimum of one year of experience in acute care settings is preferred.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.ScheduleThis position requires availability for day shifts, working five 8-hour shifts per week. Specific days of the week may vary.
