Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year in Labor and Delivery required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP, STABLE Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience: 2 years Charting System Experience: Epic required Community Hospital Experience: Preferred Description: First time travelers are welcome. Guaranteed hours are not available. Orientation hours will be provided. On-call shifts may be required during low census. Weekends are required every other weekend. Expected patient ratios follow staffing standards. Special requirements must be met for the position. This facility has 109 total staff beds. Scrub color is any color; scrubs for specific units will be provided. The patient population includes neonates and adults. The unit has a daily census of 1-2 labors and 5-8 postpartums. Admitted patients may include those with gestational hypertensives, pre-eclampsia, and twins. Active labors are provided 1:1 nursing care, while postpartum couples are cared for at a 1:3 ratio. Resuscitation and break nurses are available on the unit. Candidates will have opportunities for professional development and training. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination protocols is not required. Travelers must have reliable transportation for this assignment.
