About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Technician Profession: ORT Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hours Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 plus years of inpatient surgery, Level 1 trauma experience required. License: CST National Certification Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Must have trauma experience. Description: Mid-shift available with 12-hour rotation. Shift lengths include 8, 10, and 12 hours. Shift start times are available at 7 AM, 7 PM, and 11 PM. Every 3rd weekend is required as needed. Every other holiday will be mandatory. One on-call shift per time period may be necessary. May float to other operating room facilities if required. Candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility. Competence in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties is essential. Excellent communication skills are necessary. The surgical services encompass general, gynecological, urological, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastic, podiatry, robotics, pediatric, trauma, and spine surgeries. There are 22 operating rooms, and staffing is available 24/7. Previous permanent staff are not eligible for consideration. Local candidates living within a 50-mile radius are preferred.
