Job Summary

\n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines on AWS . The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS data services, Apache Spark/PySpark, AWS Glue, SQL, PostgreSQL, ETL/ELT development, and data modeling .

\n

This role will work closely with architects, business analysts, and application teams to build reliable, high-performance data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and pipelines on AWS .
\n
• Build and implement batch and near real-time data processing solutions using AWS Glue and Apache Spark/PySpark.
\n
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data models for analytics, reporting, and downstream applications.
\n
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from multiple source systems.
\n
• Develop and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL .
\n
• Utilize AWS services including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Amazon Redshift .
\n
• Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and application development teams to understand and define data requirements.
\n
• Perform data quality validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning .
\n
• Support data modernization and migration initiatives, including migration from Microsoft SQL Server to AWS/cloud-native data platforms .
\n
• Implement data engineering best practices related to security, governance, reliability, scalability, and operational support .
\n
• Troubleshoot pipeline, data, and performance issues and implement sustainable solutions.
\n

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with AWS Data Services
\n
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue
\n
• Strong knowledge of Apache Spark / PySpark
\n
• Advanced SQL skills
\n
• Experience with PostgreSQL
\n
• Strong understanding of data modeling
\n
• Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
\n
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
\n
• Experience working with Amazon S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Redshift
\n
• Understanding of data quality, reconciliation, governance, and security practices
\n
