Mammography Technologist Per Diem

The Mammography Technologist Per Diem specializes in screening and diagnostic mammograms with a focus on ACR (American College of Radiology) guidelines. This includes positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, and ensuring accurate image capture. The technologist must also maintain patient records and adhere to safety protocols. They should be open to traveling to other UC (University of California) facilities as needed to provide coverage. The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing compassionate care to patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) Certification
• CRT American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
• Valid CRT (M) Mammography Certificate from CDPH
• ARRT (R) Credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• ARRT (M) Mammography Credential (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Digital 8-hour 2D and 3D Certificate
• Venipuncture Certification (to be obtained within 6 months of hire)
• Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist Program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ARRT (M) Mammography Credential
• Venipuncture Certification
• A.S. in Radiologic Science/Radiologic Technology
• 1 year of experience in mammography
• Knowledge of UC Health system and departmental policies and procedures sufficient to effectively perform job functions or refer to others
