CASHIER (PART TIME)

Job Summary Part‑time Cashier position at 18111 Nordhoff St, Northridge, CA 91330. Responsible for handling cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, providing change, and completing cash reports. May also perform general food service work and maintain sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining rooms. Schedule Monday to Friday, varying hours between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Open availability preferred for staffing at one of five locations. Pay Range $17.87 to $18.42 per hour. Requirements Previous cash handling and inventory assistance experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform sales transactions in a timely manner. Enter all sales accurately into the cash register. Provide change, accept payment cards and other forms, and issue receipts. Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Ensure compliance with overage/shortage standards for cash drawers. Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate standard portions. Replenish condiments, coffee, beverages, and general supplies; maintain cleanliness of service areas. Keep pastry case stocked. Adhere to company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures. Maintain compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe, and safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
