Animal Dispatch, LLC is a licensed and insured wildlife removal and exclusion company working across south central Virginia.

This is a trades job. Read that again before you keep going.

We are growing and adding three to the crew.

WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY TO TRAIN ON TOOLS

Half this work is construction. When a raccoon tears open a soffit or a colony of bats gets behind a ridge, somebody has to go up there and rebuild it so it holds for years, not until the next storm.

We need somebody who already knows what they are doing. You already know how to run a brake. You bend your own flashing and drip edge on site, cut and fit lumber, and close a hole so clean the homeowner cannot tell where it was. If we have to teach you how to swing a hammer, this is the wrong ad.

We will teach you the animal side and we pay for the certifications. What we cannot teach fast is twenty years of hands.

WE SUPPLY EVERY TOOL

You do not bring a thing. Brake, saws, drills, ladders, fall protection, respirators, Tyvek, hand tools, all of it is ours and all of it is good. You show up with your boots and your skill.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Run a brake and form your own flashing, drip edge, and custom metal on site

- Seal entry points and ridge lines so they stay sealed

- Rebuild soffit, fascia, trim, and roof decking that animals have destroyed

- Screen and cap vents, chimneys, and gable ends

- Inspect and tell us where the failure is before we quote it

- Learn the wildlife side on our dime

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF

- Heights. 32 foot ladders, 40 to 50 feet up with roof pitch, sometimes higher.

- Tight spaces. Crawl spaces and attic accesses barely wider than your shoulders.

- Filth. Mud, insulation, droppings, dust, heat, cold. You will go home dirty.

- Physical work. Year round outdoor labor. Lift 50 lbs, climb, crawl.

- Firearms and euthanasia. We humanely dispatch animals when relocation is not legal, safe, or possible. We need a steady hand and respect for the animal in front of you. If that sounds like fun, this is especially not the job.

- Driving a full size F-550 dually with an 11 foot bed. Valid license required.

- Drug free. We test.

- Weekend rotation. Every other or every third weekend, solo, clearing traps. Usually a few hours.

WHAT WE NEED

Real hands on experience in carpentry, roofing, siding, flashing, sheet metal, or framing. That is the requirement. No wildlife experience necessary.

WHAT WE OFFER

- $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on what you can actually do

- Every tool supplied, and they are good tools

- Weekly pay, direct deposit Wednesday night for the prior week

- Paid time off after one year

- We pay for your certifications, NWCOA bat exclusion and Virginia CNAP, and they are yours for life
