Role Description The Registered Nurse at Tampa General Hospital is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. In this position, the nurse provides direct, evidence-based patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions across diverse clinical settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient status, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record. The nurse educates patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care strategies, while promoting safety, infection prevention, and a positive patient experience. This role also involves participation in quality improvement initiatives, adherence to regulatory and hospital policies, and mentoring or precepting team members and students as needed. Qualifications Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain licensure; graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing); BSN strongly preferred. Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and use of electronic health records in an acute care or hospital setting. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and to support patients and families from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to evidence-based practice guidelines and hospital policies. Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain calm in high-acuity or trauma situations, and exercise sound clinical judgment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and other specialty certifications (e.g., PALS, TNCC, CCRN) are highly beneficial depending on unit placement. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tampa General Hospital
