About Us The Public Works Engineering Division is involved in some way in all the construction occurring within the City and County of Denver. The Major Projects Office (Better Place to Live) is the City and County of Denver’s representative for major projects such as the Denver Justice Center and the FasTracks Program. The office represents the community of stakeholders during the design and construction phases, collaborates with project sponsors such as RTD and CDOT, facilitates the resolution of challenges between sponsors, owners, and contractors, and provides technical support to various agencies to incorporate their needs into the project processes. About Our Job This position in the Major Projects Office is responsible for performing professional project management work, including: Planning, scheduling, and budgeting facility projects Engaging the project team and reviewing design and construction documents Ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining project control documents Overseeing construction and protecting the interests of the City and County of Denver in the delivery of quality, operationally solid facilities About You Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering or a closely related field and three years of licensed professional engineering experience performing project management or design on capital construction projects. Additional post‑masters education may substitute for one year of the minimum experience requirement. The ideal candidate will have the majority of experience in vertical construction and some experience in utility and transportation construction. Also requires a valid driver’s license and registration as a Professional Engineer by the Colorado State Board of Registration at the time of application. Registration in another state will be accepted in lieu of this requirement, provided that the applicant has Colorado registration by completion of probation. #J-18808-Ljbffr City of Santa Fe Springs
