Management Connections seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will handle the setup, operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance of production equipment used to apply colors, finishes, and decorative applications to our products. You will play a critical role in ensuring top-tier product quality, maintaining high production efficiency, minimizing waste, and upholding our strict safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Perform machine setups, changeovers, and production startups according to established procedures.
• Quality Control: Monitor product quality, color, coating, and finish standards throughout production runs; recognize and troubleshoot minor quality defects.
• Equipment Maintenance: Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, escalate major concerns, and perform routine cleaning and housekeeping of machinery and work areas.
• Material Management: Stage upcoming production materials, monitor the usage of inks and solvents, and minimize waste or scrap.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote safe work practices and strictly comply with procedures for handling and disposing of production waste, inks, and solvents.
• Documentation: Accurate enter production data, downtime, and quality metrics into our ERP and manufacturing systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience preferred.
• Industry Focus: Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience required; experience in the wine industry is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret specification sheets, drawings, and rulers. Basic computer competency required to enter data into an ERP system.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
• Reliability: Must have reliable transportation and a proven track record of excellent punctuality.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Environment: Typical light industrial environment with varying temperatures (heat in summer, cold in winter) and a fast-paced, noisy atmosphere.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods; frequent reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and keying.
• Lifting: Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• PPE: Ability to wear a respirator and other required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
• Vision Standards: Must have excellent sight, pass the CA DMV vision test.
