Senior Environment & Energy Associate
Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm seeking a Senior Environment & Energy Associate with 6–9 years of experience to join its nationally recognized energy regulatory practice.
Multiple U.S. office locations available
The firm is looking for candidates with:
- 6–9 years of experience advising clients on electric power regulatory matters
- Experience handling matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
- Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Experience with administrative litigation and regulatory proceedings
- Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with teams and clients
- Excellent academic credentials and client service orientation
Responsibilities include:
- Advising energy industry clients on complex electric power regulatory issues
- Representing clients in proceedings before FERC
- Drafting motions, briefs, regulatory filings, and client advisories
- Conducting legal research and providing strategic regulatory counseling
- Working directly with clients and assuming significant responsibility for matter management
Compensation:
- $350,000 – $415,000 base salary, depending on experience
