Medical Director Opportunity

Providence Swedish Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist (PM&R) to serve as Medical Director of our state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Seattle, Washington. As Medical Director, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the clinical vision of the hospital, collaborating with an experienced interdisciplinary team, and ensuring delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic conditions, complex neurological disorders, and other disabling illnesses.

Medical Director Responsibilities

• Provide physician leadership for the inpatient rehabilitation program

• Collaborate with hospital administration on quality, compliance, and strategic initiatives

• Participate in medical staff development and physician recruitment efforts

• Promote patient-centered, evidence-based rehabilitation care

• Support accreditation, regulatory, and quality improvement activities

• Foster strong relationships with referring physicians, acute care partners, and community stakeholders

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

• Eligible for Washington medical licensure

• Previous leadership experience preferred, but emerging physician leaders are encouraged to apply

• Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary rehabilitation care and clinical excellence
