How You'll Make an Impact The Sacramento Valley/Central California (SV/CC) Regional Manager provides dedicated local leadership for the region and is responsible for strengthening the organization's presence through community engagement, fund development, relationship building, program implementation, communications coordination, and organizational development. This role is ideal for a self-directed leader who has a deep understanding of the needs of Muslim communities throughout the Sacramento Valley and Central California, demonstrates a strong commitment to CAIR's mission, and thrives in a dynamic environment requiring initiative, collaboration, and strategic thinking. - Other Duties
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit leadership, community organizing, advocacy, public affairs, operations, program management.
- Minimum two years of experience with direct fundraising, donor engagement, or community development.
- Experience supervising employees or leading teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and established relationships within the Sacramento Muslim community.
- Strong understanding of issues affecting American Muslim communities and commitment to advancing civil rights and social justice.
- Experience planning and implementing community programs and events.
- Experience building partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common digital communication platforms.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the Sacramento region.
- Experience working within a mission-driven nonprofit organization.
- Experience working with elected officials, coalition partners, or advocacy campaigns.
- Familiarity with California legislative and civic engagement processes.
- Ability to travel throughout the Sacramento and Central California region.
- Ability to lift and transport outreach and event materials up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to attend community events during evenings and weekends.
