Food Pantry Coordinator

Catholic Charities Washtenaw Emergency Food Program has an immediate opening for a part-time (approximately 18.75 hours a week) Coordinator. This position receives donations for the Food Bank and assists in running the food bank. This position provides assistance to a diverse population of food bank customers in a welcoming manner that respects the dignity of all those seeking assistance. Responsibilities Assess inventory Place orders Coordinate volunteers Stock shelves Conduct intakes Assess and assist customers Identify unmet needs and provide referrals to appropriate community resources Attend all required trainings/meetings and provide monthly reporting Requirements Current or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field Scheduling flexibility is required Experience conducting brief needs assessments and connecting individuals with community resources is desired and preferred Ability to work efficiently and responsibly with limited supervision Capability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting demands Exceptional computer skills Ability to complete online data entry quickly and accurately Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 30 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds Compensation Total compensation includes mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefit plan with employer contribution, 401k retirement option, plus paid time off with paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Year's.
