Automation Test Lead
Job Location: Newton, MA – 100% onsite – Preferred locals
Duration: Longterm Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full testing lifecycle, from planning to execution and closure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies.
- Coordinate with offshore QA teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Review and validate test cases, scripts, and automation frameworks.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution processes.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on test progress, metrics, and outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior QA staff and promote continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. 10+ years of experience in software testing, with 2+ years in a lead role. Strong offshore coordination and communication skills. Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM). Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Cypress). Excellent presentation and reporting skills. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB or equivalent certification.
