Job Description
Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a 9-week contract position. This opportunity involves working night shifts, providing respiratory care and support to patients across a diverse demographic.

Position Information

• Department: Respiratory Therapy
• Shift: 6 PM - 6:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC
• Years of Experience: 1 - 2 years
• Possible Float Requirements: May be required to float within a 25-mile radius

Job Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for:

• Delivering respiratory care treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as needed
• Coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding respiratory health

Qualifications

• Education: Valid Arizona Respiratory Therapist License required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in a respiratory therapy setting preferred
• Skills: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills

Work Environment

This position is set in a well-equipped healthcare facility that is accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility is part of a community hospital and serves as a regional referral center, equipped with 171 beds and recognition as a Level 3 Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center.
