For more information, visit the organization’s website. Summary The Pharmacy Technician I performs the technical functions involved in the medication-use process. This role assists the Pharmacist in preparing and compounding pharmaceutical products, manages inventory of pharmacy products, and resolves insurance claims as they arise during dispensing. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned. Education / Experience High School diploma or equivalent required. Licensure / Certification Active ALBOP Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required, or Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong teamwork, organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Effective written and oral communication skills and proficiency with pharmacy systems and related technology. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations and bring appropriate solutions to complex multifactor scenarios.
