Plant Engineer/Specialist - Reliability Center, North Dakota

Plant Engineer – Reliability or Plant Specialist – Reliability, at the Milton R. Young Station located near Center, ND. Two-unit coal-fired power plant, providing a stable energy source for our cooperative member-owners. The station is located 35 miles from Bismarck, North Dakota, a growing and progressive city with many recreational opportunities.

Typical job functions and expectations include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide root cause analysis.
• Oversee the change management program and initiatives.
• Optimize work practices in areas of expertise.
• Manage and reduce risks to the station.
• Provide reliability analyses, evaluations, and recommendations, particularly for projects.
• Evaluate design alternatives.
• Design and install new and replacement equipment.
• Work with consultants and contractors to accomplish engineering objectives.
• Troubleshoot systems with Operations and Maintenance to resolve problems.
• Ensure safety of work practices.
• Monitor and recommend new technology for improvements in efficiency, reliability, availability, and longevity of the plant and its equipment.
• Analyze plant data and provide recommendations.

Previous experience in an industrial setting with emphasis on reliability and rotating equipment is preferred but not necessary.
