Product Data Analyst

Role Description

Join n8n as the dedicated data partner to a product team that's already hands-on with data. Our PMs are technical and data-literate, and what they're missing is a dedicated analyst counterpart.

• Be the dedicated data partner that helps a hands-on product team go deeper, see further, and design better products.
• Take on analyses the PMs don't have time for, accelerate their work, and pair on the most important questions.
• Provide cross-product cuts, segment views, and comparative analyses to challenge assumptions and surface needed insights.
• Co-create hypotheses with PMs and focus on activation and adoption, understanding user value and retention drivers.
• Influence the roadmap with strong, data-backed opinions during product planning.
• Bring statistical depth to analyses and ensure experiments are trustworthy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years analyzing product usage in B2B SaaS, ideally in a PLG environment.
• Strong partnership mindset, thriving alongside technical PMs.
• Expertise in activation and adoption analysis.
• Known for going deeper than the obvious in analyses.
• Real applied statistics knowledge, able to explain complex metrics clearly.
• High-agency and opinionated, proactively identifying worth-analyzing questions.
• Solid experimentation skills, capable of designing and reading A/B tests.
• Instrumentation fluency, having defined event taxonomies.
• Expert SQL and comfort with modern data stacks (BigQuery, dbt, Metabase or equivalent).
• Effective communication skills, able to write impactful memos and present findings.

Requirements

• Devtool / OSS / technical product experience.
• Python for analysis (pandas, statsmodels, scipy).
• Causal inference skills for questions A/B testing can't answer.
• Experience with experimentation platforms (GrowthBook, Statsig, Eppo, or similar).
