For over 30 years, Nurturings has been committed to educating and supporting parents and caregivers in raising secure, joyful, and empathic children. We offer a different kind of parenting resource—one that aims to spark flourishing for families and communities across the globe.

Nurturings is entering an exciting new season, and we are looking for new board members to join our team! Our board of directors is a dedicated group of professionals who collaborate with staff and help shape the organization’s future. By joining us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Nurturings' way of working and play a critical role in setting the next 30 years up for success.

Here is a brief summary of board expectations and our application process:

• Board members are asked to serve at least one (1) three (3) year term and engage via email and special projects (approximately 2 hours a month, not including meetings)

• Members participate in quarterly, 90-minute board meetings (4 total)

• Assist in setting goals, establish long-term strategy, monitor financial performance, and assess board effectiveness—all in close partnership with the Executive Director

• Actively participate in one or more fundraising activities, including a peer-to-peer fundraising initiative and soliciting and thanking donors

• Applications are accepted through July 13 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis

• New members will be onboarding in August, with their first meeting being in September
