Atlassian Developer and Administrator

About the role

Seeking a skilled Atlassian Developer and Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Atlassian JIRA and Confluence platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in workflow design, automation, and integration, with experience in scripting and API development. This mid-level role offers the opportunity to work on complex integrations and support government contracts, requiring a Secret clearance.

Job Responsibilities

• Configure and administer user directories with LDAP for JIRA and Confluence authentication and authorization.
• Design, code, and maintain custom workflows using ScriptRunner, REST API integrations, and native Atlassian features.
• Develop and integrate solutions using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and Python.
• Administer, support, and extend JIRA and Confluence platforms with advanced workflow design.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab.
• Analyze and reverse engineer existing workflows to recommend improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and document user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide user support, training, and troubleshooting for JIRA and Confluence.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for workflows, integrations, and administrative procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and tool usage.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with ScriptRunner for JIRA/Confluence, including Groovy scripting.
• At least 3 years of proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and HTML; proficiency in Python.
• Experience integrating Atlassian products with LDAP for user authentication and authorization.
• Hands-on experience with REST API development and integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab.
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and reverse engineering skills for workflows and scripts.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
