Graphic Designer

This position is 100% on-site at our Ontario, California office. No remote or hybrid arrangements. Local candidates only.

Join Beauty 21 Cosmetics, Inc. (home of L.A. COLORS / L.A. Girl) as a Graphic Designer focused on print production and packaging. You will support the Creative/Marketing team designing cosmetics packaging, print advertising, in-store displays, and internal branding collateral, with occasional digital asset support for web and social. This is a hands-on print production role — the ideal candidate lives in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator and knows how to take a design from concept to press-ready file.

Responsibilities:

· Design cosmetics packaging, blister cards, displays, and promotional print materials from concept through production.

· Develop accurate, print-ready files (dielines, bleeds, color separations, prepress specifications).

· Maintain visual consistency and brand standards across all print materials.

· Elevate the quality of print design, ensuring every piece reflects creative excellence.

· Create on-brand materials informed by an understanding of the cosmetics and beauty industry.

· Collaborate with the creative/marketing team to ensure seamless integration of graphic elements.

· Work closely with product development and cross-functional departments, providing a designer's perspective on concepts and design elements to support a cohesive visual identity.

· Stay current on beauty trends and makeup styles to ensure designs resonate with our audience.

· Maintain organized calendars and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of print materials.

· Follow established file naming conventions and server organization standards so assets are easy to retrieve, reference, and share across teams.

· Design layouts for product exhibits, displays, and promotional materials for production.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to meet quick deadlines.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education (or equivalent experience):

· AA or BFA in Graphic Design, or a Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

· 5+ years as a graphic designer with a focus on print and packaging, working on the Mac platform in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Skills Required:

· Demonstrated expertise in packaging and print production design; a portfolio showing printed work (packaging, displays, or collateral) is required.

· Strong command of prepress fundamentals: dielines, bleeds, CMYK/spot color, and print specifications.

· Experience in the makeup, fashion, or beauty industry.

· Strong grasp of layout, composition, color, and typography.

· Ability to take and give creative direction.

· Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented; able to work independently.

· A team player who collaborates with marketing, sales, and product development.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office; familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) a plus.

· Knowledge of licensing and branding.

· Awareness of current beauty and market trends in a fast-paced environment.

· Digital design experience (web/social assets) a plus, but this is not a web or UI/UX role.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

· Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour

· Expected hours: 40 per week

· Work Location: In person (On-site Non negotiable)
