Accounting Manager

Our client, a local financial services company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager for their direct hire opening in the Buffalo area! The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing complex accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and provide strategic financial insights to support organizational growth. This on-site position offers a salary of $52K - $78K based on experience + benefits. Job Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the daily accounting operations ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately tracked and reported. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets/prepaids, payroll, Asset Liability Management Reports, CECL Calculation Reports, and investments. Prepare timely monthly financial statements, Call Reports (Form 5300), and other regulatory reports. Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Analyze income/expense variances. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), NCUA regulations. Prepare documentation and serve as a liaison for internal supervisory committee and regulatory agencies (NCUA.) Monitor and manage daily cash flow and investments under direction of management and Board of Directors. Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting, or equivalent credit union/banking experience; Strong knowledge of GAAP, Proficiency in accounting software, and Microsoft Office in a windows environment, Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Career Connection Network
