Details NICU III/IV setting caring for neonates as young as 24-28 weeks gestation Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM 1:1 and/or 1:2 patient ratios Cares for patients requiring cardiovascular, dysrhythmia, gastrointestinal, and respiratory support Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS and NRP certifications required Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) required Skilled in arterial line, central line, UAC, and UVC management Experience administering IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids Experience with feedings and placement/management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes Experience managing neonatal abstinence syndrome and isolation precautions/PPE Documents required for consideration include date of birth, RTO, valid state license, certification copies, references, and COVID vaccination status Additional Information Provide critical care to high-acuity neonatal patients including those with cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurologic conditions Facility maintains a strict dress code including no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, and coverage of all tattoos Earrings must not extend beyond the earlobe and hoop or facial piercings are not permitted Orientation includes required training modules averaging 3-6 hours First-time travelers will be considered with strong experience Local candidates are accepted at the standard bill rate Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-750793.
