Our Mission, Vision Values represent a unifying and inspiring way forward, and all Team Members are expected to uphold them./ppOur corporate social responsibility framework, People Planet Play, represents our continuous dedication to enhancing economic development, uplifting the wellbeing of our Team Members and their families, and making positive contributions to the communities we operate in./ppThe incumbent in this position is responsible for the effective development, management, integration, and execution of all Promotions and Special Events at Horseshoe St. Louis Casino, including but not limited to cash and merchandise giveaways, tournaments, high-end events, and gift programs designed to develop and cultivate new and existing slot and table games players./ph3How You Will Create the Extraordinary/h3ulliStaff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for subordinate personnel./liliUnderstand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective management of department./liliDevelop, plan and execute all promotional programs and special events for Horseshoe./liliPrepares pro-formas on promotions and events to determine worthiness. Monitors financial figures for future promotions./liliPerforms post analysis of efficiency and profitability of all promotional programs and special events./liliHosts guests and accommodate their needs within program guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and encourage return visits./liliCommunicates goals and needs in order to facilitate planning for propertys promotional programs./liliComplies with MGC and propertys standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains administrative processes to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department functions./liliMeets and communicates with other departments to facilitate planning for fulfilling their casino promotion and special event needs such as FB, Dcor, Construction, Direct Mail, Cash giveaways, negotiating vendor contracts, securing high-level prize insurance, MGC regulations, etc./liliResearches, contacts and arranges for vendors to execute special needs. Oversees all outside vendors in the execution of agreed-upon contracts./liliCommunicates all promotions to the surrounding St. Louis market by closely working with Database Marketing and Advertising departments./liliDetermines equipment necessary for activities to ensure the timely procurement of necessary parts and that par inventory is maintained; coordinates the upkeep and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper operation./liliSecure high-level prize insurance./liliEffectively plans, organizes and prioritizes a heavy workload with competing priorities./liliMaintains a level of professionalism that will make guests want to return to Horseshoe./liliAnticipates the guests needs and responds appropriately with a sense of urgency./liliActively works as a goodwill ambassador of Horseshoe./liliEffectively communicates with management in order to fulfill and address any issues./liliAssist the marketing staff with the execution of marketing programs./liliPerforms other duties as assigned by management./liliOther related duties as assigned by the department leader./li/ulh3What You Will Need/h3ulliAbility to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license/liliKnowledge of federal, state and gaming laws and regulations/liliEffective written and verbal communication skills/liliProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word/liliStrong strategic and analytical skills./liliThorough knowledge of and experience in promotions planning and execution preferably within a casino environment with a minimum of 3 years experience./liliBachelors Degree in marketing, journalism, communication, advertising or related field preferred/liliIn-depth understanding of the management and operations of all casino and tourism business./liliSuperb organizational skills/liliCustomer service and stage presence skills and stage presence/li/ulpThese skills and abilities are typically acquired through a bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising or Public Relations or related discipline and a minimum of three years experience in promotions preferably within a casino environment or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position./ph3Additional Requirements/h3ulliStrong interpersonal and communication skills./liliExcellent oral and written communication in English/liliAbility to work under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment./li/ulpTogether We Win/ppWe believe in delivering family-style servicean approach that fosters warmth, connection, and a genuine sense of belonging.
