About the Role This role offers the optionality of in-person (New York or San Francisco) or fully remote work. The position sits within the Finance team and will own program management for the Company's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program, along with day-to-day financial operations, partnering closely with Legal/Compliance, Accounting, and cross-functional business teams. What You'll Do Program Management Serve as the day-to-day owner of the Company's AML/KYB compliance program, executing the policies and procedures set by the AML Compliance Person (CFO/VP of Finance) Manage customer due diligence: collect and verify beneficial ownership, business registration, tax status, and banking documentation Perform sanctions and adverse media screening (OFAC SDN list, PEP checks) for new and existing customers, escalating potential matches per policy Apply and maintain the customer risk-rating framework (duration of operation, legal structure, beneficial ownership) and trigger Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for medium- and high-risk accounts Conduct ongoing transaction monitoring for red flags (structuring, split transfers, high-risk geographies, unusual wire activity) and elevate suspicious activity through the alert-handling workflow Maintain AML program documentation: policy updates, onboarding checklists, training materials, and recordkeeping in line with BSA retention requirements Coordinate annual AML training for employees and maintain training records Own end-to-end program management for cross-functional finance and compliance initiatives, from scoping through implementation and rollout Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and status trackers for AML and other finance initiatives, keeping stakeholders aligned and unblocked Coordinate across Finance, Legal/Compliance, and business teams to drive projects to completion, surfacing risks and dependencies early Treasury & Payment Operations Support bank account verification and ownership checks as part of customer and vendor onboarding Assist with onboarding of new banking partners, payment processors, and vendors, including contract tracking and renewal timelines Process and review wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany transfers, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals Monitor fees, rates, and terms across banking and payment relationships, flagging opportunities for improvement Help evaluate and implement new tools, including AI tools, to improve the efficiency of compliance and treasury operations What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Accounting, Legal, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience in AML/compliance program management, financial operations, or treasury, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth environment; prior exposure to AML or KYB processes is a plus Comfort with modern finance and compliance tools, plus genuine interest in using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to streamline due diligence, monitoring, reporting, and process documentation Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent compliance and operational initiatives, keeping cross-functional stakeholders aligned and driving work to completion without heavy oversight Highly organized with strong attention to detail; AML compliance and payment operations leave little room for error, and you take that seriously Ability to clearly document processes and communicate status, risks, and blockers to stakeholders across Finance and the broader business Comfortable operating with a fair amount of autonomy, proactively flagging issues and proposing solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do Why This Role Matters This is a high-visibility role for someone early in their finance career who wants hands-on exposure to AML compliance program management and cross-functional financial operations at a fast-moving, AI-native company.
