We are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator located in our Irving, TX location. About the Role We're looking for a motivated Junior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. You'll help maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot our server infrastructure, networks, and end-user systems while learning from senior engineers and growing into more advanced administrative responsibilities. Responsibilities Monitor system performance, availability, and security across servers and workstations Perform routine maintenance: patching, backups, updates, and user account management Provide first- and second-tier technical support for hardware, software, and network issues Assist in configuring and maintaining Windows servers, Active Directory, firewalls, and network devices Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps Support onboarding/offboarding of employee accounts and equipment Escalate complex issues to senior sysadmins and collaborate on resolution Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 0–2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals Basic understanding of firewall configuration and network security principles Understanding of or work with an IDP (Identity Provider) like Okta preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication and willingness to learn Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar) preferred but not required Ability to travel up to 10% Willingness to work occasional after-hours and participate in on-call rotation Nice to Have Scripting experience (PowerShell) Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) We offer a competitive benefits package for full-time employees.
