PackagerThe Packager is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications and optimizing the productivity of the machine processing line. This role involves selecting and maintaining packaging materials, operating packaging equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety standards.Job ResponsibilitiesPackage finished products for storage and shipment, adhering to customer specificationsSelect and maintain an adequate supply of packaging materials for processing and warehouse activitiesKeep a working set of tools required for packaging tasksRead and follow both standard and special packaging specificationsSafely and properly operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging equipmentComplete and inspect paperwork, tagging, and final packaging of finished productsMove finished products to storage or shipping areas as neededMaintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area according to company policiesWork collaboratively with processing crew members and company managementQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to operate overhead cranes and forkliftsAbility to read and understand work orders and written instructionsUtilize measuring devices such as rulers, tapes, and calipersUse computer systems to print tags and manage documentationAbility to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityDemonstrated reliable work historyMust be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasksEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
