Registered Nurse - Cardiology

Role Overview: This position involves providing independent nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating expertise in routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies and long-term goals. The nurse delegates tasks appropriately to care team members and continuously develops clinical skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments using proper protocols; monitor for side effects and efficacy. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assess educational needs and provide relevant education to patients, families, and caregivers. Qualifications & Skills: Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates considered. Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license. Required certifications include BLS; ACLS certification is mandatory. Completion of organizational orientation and annual competency validations. Additional Requirements: Candidates must obtain specified certifications within designated time frames, with grace periods based on experience level.
