Job Summary

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location: unspecified. This position involves supporting the sterile processing operations within a healthcare facility for a 15-week assignment. The role includes responsibilities related to decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment, with a focus on ensuring compliance with sterilization protocols and facilitating surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: CRCST (HSPA) certification required; 5 years of sterile processing experience required; minimum 2 travel assignments of at least 13 weeks each; 1 year experience in a level 1 academic medical center with 20 or more operating rooms; service line experience including robotics, general, cardiovascular, ENT, ophthalmology, laparoscopic, orthopedic, neuro, dental, urology, and plastics; familiarity with Olympus scopes, DaVinci Robot Xi, and loaner trays; recent case pick and sterilization experience; skilled in decontamination, prep and pack, steam sterilization, low-temperature sterilization, endoscope processing, and high-level disinfection of diaries and scopes.
• Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional information: The role requires float coverage and participation in bi-weekly orientations; all employment gaps over 90 days must be explained; comprehensive work history details are required for submission; reliable transportation is recommended due to limited public transit options in the area.
