Regional Facilities Manager

Regional Facility ManagerThe Regional Facility Manager is responsible for the daily care and safety of multiple facilities which they are assigned. They will assure that all building systems are maintained and in good working condition, Cleanliness of the facilities, the safety of the facilities, contractor coordination (elevator, Fire alarm/protection, Security system, snow removal, landscaping, HVAC, Electrical, Etc.), lead construction projects, recommend to the Facility Director Building and system improvements. The Regional Facility Manager will coordinate office/space changes; work with the local fire/police departments, and order supplies as needed to support their facilities and any other needs that there facilities require. They will be expected to handle emergency and security concerns on nights and weekends as needed (24/7).Roles and ResponsibilitiesMonitor vendor performance to assure full compliance with standards established within the service agreementSupervise maintenance contracts and programs relating to the conditions and appearance of the propertiesRecord and maintain work ticketing system in order to provide accurate and current assessment of facility management objectivesOversee completion of capital improvements consistent with local codes and building standards to ensure timely completion, cost control and employee/management satisfactionProvide positive and prompt response to requests from management and employeesAssist with coordination of transportation of medical equipment and supplies between sitesRecord type and cost of maintenance or repair work and assist in preparation of capital budgetsEstimate costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structuresAdherence to Infection Control Guidelines set forth by CHCAdherence to testing, schedules and maintenance intervals in accordance with joint commission and local, city and state regulatory requirementsEnsure that all of our facilities comply with Joint Commission (JCAHO) rules and regulationsStrictly follow CHC's exposure control plan which outlines the protective measures CHC takes to eliminate or minimize employee exposure to blood and potentially infectious materialsPerform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actionsDiagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessaryMaintain specialized equipment or machinery located at CHC FacilitiesOrder parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliersPaint windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structuresSupport grounds keeping services, such as landscaping or snow removalMaintain exam room counters, benches, partitions, or other wooden structuresManages multiple facilitiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsAssociates Degree or Trade License preferredMinimum 7 years' experience in building maintenanceMinimum 7 years' experience with power tools and measurement instruments in the performance of various electrical & mechanical repairs, troubleshooting & fabrication tasksWorking knowledge of at least two of the following trades: carpentry, masonry, plumbing, heating, electrical, HVAC and plumbing and ground careMust be capable of working in a team environment consisting of employees and outside contractorsPhysical Requirements/Work Environment40 hour/week with emergency calls and 24 hour on-call assignment. Availability for irregular work schedules, required.Physical labor required, equivalent to construction labor, ability to lift 80 lbs., climb ladders, should have no restrictions.Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, and shop environments.Potentially exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.Communication SkillsExcellent oral and written communication skills are required.This position is may interface with patients, family members, vendors and leadership within the organization.ConfidentialityPersonal Health information is kept in strict confidence.
