The role is both advisory and operational in nature, helping business partners make informed decisions while managing complex accounting processes—including token-based usage and evolving AI-related revenue streams—through the adoption of innovative, automated tools.Role ResponsibilitiesParticipates in accounting close activities, including:Leverage AI and automation tools to streamline close processes (ie flux analysis automation, enhancing reconciliations, automating large datasets)Partnering with other teams (legal, sales, etc.) to interpret, research, discuss, and / or process deal reviewsComplete contract accounting of executed customer contractsPreparation / review of journal entriesPreparation / review of reconciliations and related financial analysis for management and external reportingParticipates in Company-wide AI driven initiatives and cross-functional projects that directly impact or relate to the revenue accounting area, particularly increasing the revenue analytical capabilitiesProactively identify and implement AI-driven automation solutions to transform revenue accounting workflows, prioritizing process efficiency, scalability, and reduction of manual effort.Adopt a "clean sheet" methodology to evaluate operational processes, specifically leveraging generative AI and advanced automation tools to streamline complex tasks and enhance overall accuracy.Stay current on the latest financial accounting and reporting developments and U.S GAAP reporting requirements, as applicable.Mentors and supports junior members of the team and provides feedbackCommunicates any problems to senior management timelyPresent findings and solutions to the management team, while considering global impacts and subsequent guidance to influence other regions where appropriate to adopt a consistent process and policyEstablish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)Prepares schedules in support of the external audit process while also utilizing AI capabilities to streamline any workbooksCoordinates with the auditors on accounting issues and audit related queriesReviews and maintains controls as the business environment changes as a result of process, system and policy enhancements.
