Senior Mechanical EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team responsible for the design, development, analysis, and validation of innovative electro-mechanical products. This position offers the opportunity to work on products from initial concept through manufacturing release while playing a key role in product innovation, technical leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with SolidWorks, injection molded plastics, sheet metal design, electro-mechanical packaging, and product development in a manufacturing environment.Location: Melville, NYSalary: $115,000 - $130,000Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, analysis, and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems from concept through production.Create detailed assembly drawings, part drawings, and engineering documentation.Develop and present multiple design concepts to engineering teams and stakeholders.Design for manufacturability, assembly, reliability, and cost optimization.Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and DFMEA/FMEA activities to improve product performance and reliability.Develop and execute testing and validation plans.Analyze product performance and implement design improvements.Evaluate finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.Collaborate with Document Control to create and maintain:2D drawingsBills of Materials (BOMs)Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)Engineering documentation packagesPrepare engineering reports, performance analyses, and technical recommendations.Continuously improve engineering processes, workflows, and design standards.Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support product releases and production activities.Review fabrication, assembly, and installation processes to ensure successful product implementation.Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design optimization efforts.Research emerging technologies and recommend new tools, processes, and design solutions.Mentor and support junior engineers.Provide technical guidance and leadership on engineering projects.Manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring timely delivery of design objectives.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.Proficiency with SolidWorks for design and analysis.Strong experience with:Mechanical designInjection molded plastic part designSheet metal designElectro-mechanical packagingHigh-volume manufacturing environmentsExperience conducting:FEA (Finite Element Analysis)DFMEA/FMEADesign Validation TestingStrong understanding of:GD&TProduct lifecycle managementDesign for Manufacturability (DFM)Engineering documentation and drafting standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience with PCB layout and electronics packaging.Experience designing consumer products and electro-mechanical devices.Knowledge of regulatory compliance and validation testing methods.Experience supporting new product development from concept through production.Strong background in automated and manual assembly processes.What We're Looking ForStrong design and analytical problem-solving skills.Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through product launch.Collaborative team player who enjoys working across multiple disciplines.Passion for innovation, product development, and continuous improvement.Technical leader who can mentor others while remaining hands-on in design and development activities.Why Join Us?Growth & AdvancementStrong opportunities for career advancement and leadership development.Exposure to a variety of new product development projects.Potential growth opportunities across multiple company locations nationwide.Collaborative Engineering CultureForward-thinking, employee-focused organization.Innovative and progressive work environment.Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.Work EnvironmentModern Long Island engineering facility.Flexible first-shift schedule (typically 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).On-site cafeteria.Supportive team environment focused on innovation and employee development.Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Melville, NY.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $115,000.00 - $130,000.00/yr.
