Job Details Experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) needed for federal construction projects. Salary $105,000 - $130,000 per year. Conduct thorough, routine inspections of job sites to proactively identify risks and ensure safety protocols are being followed by all personnel and subcontractors. Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions to keep safety awareness top of mind for all team members. Act as a first responder to incidents and near‑misses, leading investigations, reporting findings, and developing action plans to prevent recurrence. Maintain meticulous records, including daily safety reports, site logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation, ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual safety obligations. Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and client safety representatives to address safety challenges and align safety practices with operational goals. Stay up‑to‑date on safety trends and regulatory updates; recommend enhancements to the project’s safety procedures and support integration of new practices.
