RN - Endoscopy

Endoscopy RNWe are seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN with required ICU/Critical Care experience for a travel assignment supporting both Prep and PACU/Recovery coverage within its hospital-based Endoscopy/GI procedural unit. The ideal candidate will bring a strong ICU/Critical Care background and be comfortable supporting both Pre-Procedure/Prep and PACU/Recovery areas. This role includes airway management, post-anesthesia recovery, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response. The position involves caring for adult and pediatric patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and advanced endoscopic procedures. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. The assignment includes five 7.5-hour shifts per week from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Weekend shifts are not required, and floating may be necessary. The average daily census is 33, with an average of five visits per day. The unit features six rooms and fifteen beds. RNs provide care across Pre-Procedure/Prep, Intra-Procedure, and PACU/Recovery areas. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. This high-volume unit cares for patients undergoing various procedures. Special procedures include ERCP, EUS, ESD, POEM, EMR, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and complex polypectomy. RNs will also manage general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care cases. The position requires strong assessment, airway management, sedation/recovery, and emergency-response skills.
