Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Shift: 12 Hour Variable, 4x12 Flex, 07:00:00-19:00:00

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Start Date: 06/08/2026

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide care for patients in a high-acuity labor environment. This role includes managing patients with preeclampsia, preterm labor, and providing postpartum care. The nurse will also assist with C-sections and recovery.

Responsibilities:

Care for high-risk and low-intervention laboring patients
Manage antepartum, OB triage/ED, postpartum, and infants
Perform IV starts, cervical checks, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate administration, and blood administrations
Circulate during C-sections

Requirements:

BLS, NRP certification required
2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, preferably in a Level 3 or higher NICU
EPIC charting experience
Must care for couplets and be comfortable with normal newborn nursery patients
Completion of a nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
