About the Position

Job Title: Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: N/A Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: N/A License: N/A Certifications: N/A Must-Have: N/A Description: May float to a 3-bed ICU as needed. The ICU duties would include monitoring cardiac rhythms, medication drips such as nitroglycerin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and management of Bipap/CPAP. The Medical/Surgical RN provides compassionate, evidence-based care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses as part of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The RN provides accessible and quality care for members of the community utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The Med/Surg RN collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Due to the broad range of medical conditions that present to a mixed acuity unit, the RN must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions.
