Position Details Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Location: Oklahoma City, OK Shifts: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (11002300) Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed Call: Required; coverage includes 2 primary and 2 backup nurses over a 2-month period with rotating self‑sign up, Monday through Friday (11001900) Float: As needed within facility perioperative areas Number of Openings: 5 Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients requiring surgical intervention Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and OR protocols Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation Participate actively in call and float responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Active RN license (applicable to Oklahoma) AHA BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year experience in an OR setting Preferred: 1+ years travel nursing experience and specialty certifications Professional, enthusiastic approach with strong teamwork and patient care focus Work Environment and Equipment 23-bed operating suite functioning out of 18 OR rooms 1:1 patient-to-nurse ratio supporting complex cases Diverse surgical equipment corresponding to multiple specialties Additional Requirements Flu vaccination required for all travelers; medical or religious exemptions subject to approval Facility-provided light blue scrubs; adherence to dress code standards required Location Insights Oklahoma City offers a blend of urban excitement and Midwestern hospitality.
