Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled OR Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures. This position requires expertise in perioperative care, sterile technique, and post-operative monitoring to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and review surgical plans prior to procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and available.
• Collaborate with surgical team to coordinate care and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responding promptly to any changes during surgeries.
• Document all patient interventions and surgical procedures accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care, including recovery and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an operating room setting.
• BLS certification mandatory; ACLS preferred.
• Proficient in sterile techniques, instrumentation, and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred.
