Production Associate (Cylinder Loader)

Overview R10096374 Production Associate (Cylinder Loader) (Open) Location: Billerica, MA - Filling industrial Responsibilities Load and unload high‑pressure and liquid cylinders on/off trucks in compliance with federal, state, local regulations. Meet all safety standards in loading and unloading of cylinder gases per Airgas procedures. Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following procedures to meet safety benchmarks. Maintain awareness of safety protocols for various gases; read cylinder labels and color codes to identify size and contents. Comply with government and company standards for safe handling of materials and cylinder gases. Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to support site operations. Load/unload cylinders on/off vehicles using hand truck or chain hoist; maintain records of type and quantity. Securely load/unload cylinders on/off pallets with proper restraints. Inspect returned cylinders for defects; perform minor maintenance and detailed inspection prior to filling. Move cylinders to designated work areas using safe methods. Identify and segregate out-of-test or defective cylinders to maintain quality. Prepare cylinders for reuse by removing old labels and cleaning. Support other team needs to ensure a collaborative environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP or similar ERP system (preferred). Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft Office. Ability to perform arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions, decimals; compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Commitment to Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and related rules and procedures. Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
