CNC Machine Operator

Overview

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser
cutting machines, CNC press brakes, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment. This
position requires hands-on CNC laser and bending experience, the ability to read
technical drawings, and the ability to produce parts within specified tolerances.
The operator is responsible for machine setup, production, inspection, basic
troubleshooting, and maintaining a safe and organized work area.

Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of CNC machine operating experience.
Strong hands-on experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment.
Strong hands-on experience operating CNC press brake/bending equipment.
Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing
environment.
Ability to set up machines and perform tooling changes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Ability to use and accurately read a tape measure, caliper, and other measuring
equipment.
Good mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
Good basic math skills.
Ability to use basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned work with limited
supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a production team.
Reliable and dependable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.
Experience operating multiple types of sheet metal fabrication equipment.

Experience with CNC machine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
CDL or previous commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.

Experience Requirement
Candidates must have relevant experience with CNC laser cutting and CNC press
brake/bending equipment.
Experience limited primarily to plasma cutting, CNC milling, or other unrelated CNC
equipment does not meet the experience requirement for this position.
