Insurance Agent Trainee

Job Summary Location(s): Lexington, Kentucky Employment Type: Full-Time with Benefits Work Arrangement: Field Role Role: Life Insurance Sales Agent – responsible for building and managing a client portfolio of life‑insurance policies, collecting premiums, and generating new sales through field visits and community outreach. Responsibilities Assigned a territory (agency) with an established book of business and existing customers. Conduct sales presentations, recommend products, and close new sales. Prospect for new sales opportunities. Maintain strong customer relationships by collecting premiums on a scheduled basis. Respond promptly to service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans. Keep accurate record‑keeping, accounting for collected funds, and process policy paperwork. Grow the assigned territory through new sales. Build and maintain professional relationships with customers. Devote the necessary time to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. Pursue continuous professional development in insurance products and sales effectiveness. Qualifications Customer service experience. Minimum 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license with required auto insurance coverage. Dependable vehicle for daily travel. Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screening. Authorization to work in the United States. Preparation Licensing: Free access to study tools and professional guidance to prepare for licensing exams. Training: Onboarding development program with self‑study, classroom instruction, and field mentoring by a Sales Manager. On‑the‑Job Training: Earn a paycheck while learning the profession through hands‑on experience.
