The Sr. Manager will drive profitable growth by providing clear financial insights on cost structure, cost drivers, and new product development, enabling informed decision-making. This individual must be able to translate complex financial insights into clear, executive-ready communications and effectively present to and influence senior leadership. This role operates in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and requires strong collaboration across teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLeads financial support for the cost builds related to New Product Development (NPD), partnering with Brand Marketing, Brand Finance, R&D, and Plant/Sourcing Finance, and providing key insights to the segmentLeads financial support for the cost builds related to Make vs Buy projects, partnering with Supply Chain, R&D, and Plant Finance providing key insights through the Gen-R processLeads the analysis for the annual and future standard cost roll process, ensuring clear insights and actionable recommendations are provided to the segmentTranslates OCOGS P&L results into clear business implications, risks, and opportunities for the segmentLeads the E&O reserve review and forecast process for the segment, ensuring global alignmentDrives a process improvement mindset across Brand Cost to simplify and enhance ways of workingLeads financial discussions related to COGS in cross-functional forums to drive alignment on priorities and risksChampions a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvementKey QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred7–10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experienceExperience in supply chain finance, product costing, and financial modelingAdvanced proficiency in SAP, Hyperion, Excel, and analytics toolsAbility to build effective relationships across finance, supply chain, and brand teamsStrong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insightsProven people leadership, with a focus on developing talent and driving accountabilityOperates with agility and ownership in a fast-paced environmentNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
