- # Perioperative Nurse Liaison (RN)- Education Cardiothoracic ClinicApplylocations: Kansas City, KStime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-55297# Position TitlePerioperative Nurse Liaison (RN)- Education Cardiothoracic ClinicDays - Full TimeBell Hospital## Position Summary / Career Interest:The CTS Perioperative Education Nurse facilitates and coordinates preoperative education, testing and evaluation for the Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery cases.**Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions*** Changes culture to one that is family centered and customer friendly throughout the surgical process.* Must collaborate care with clinic CNC, surgeons, NP's or other surgeon representatives, CVPP and CVOR on an ongoing basis.* Provides education and instructions for patients and family/support systems prior to scheduled surgical procedures* Orders and ensures necessary testing is completed per protocol on scheduled surgical patients.* Coordinates visits with Pre Anesthesia Clinic* Reviews Pre Op testing and ensures any abnormal result is reviewed by Surgeon or NP, and any necessary intervention is initiated.* Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned department.* These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
