Role Description The Associate Attorney, Personal Injury will handle a full caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This full-time, on-site role involves conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement demands, and appearing at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as needed. The associate will evaluate liability and damages, communicate regularly with clients, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies. The role also includes reviewing medical records and other evidence, participating in case reviews, and contributing to firm-wide best practices and quality standards. The attorney will maintain accurate case documentation and ensure deadlines and procedural requirements are consistently met.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida, in good standing with the Florida Bar; J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Experience in personal injury or civil litigation, including case evaluation, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
• Strong legal research and writing skills, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and demand packages.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically.
• Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle a high-volume caseload and meet strict deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff, while also exercising sound independent judgment.
• Comfort with using legal practice management software, document management tools, and standard office technologies.
• Trial or mediation experience, as well as prior work with personal injury, insurance defense, or plaintiff-side practice, is strongly preferred. xhyhwjd
