Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) - or an Occupational Therapist (OT) / Physical Therapist (PT) working toward certification - to join a growing outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Asheville, NC.

This role focuses on upper extremity rehabilitation, helping patients improve function, reduce pain, and return to meaningful daily activities. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, edema management, wound care, and custom splint fabrication
• Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Track patient progress using functional outcome measures and clinical assessments
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and condition management
• Contribute to program development and serve as a clinical resource when appropriate
• Manage a consistent caseload of approximately 10-12 patients per day

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program
• Active or eligible North Carolina OT or PT license
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, but not required
• Therapists pursuing CHT certification are encouraged to apply
• New graduates welcome for permanent positions with mentorship support
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
