Job Summary:
L&Basic paternity and delivery nurse position available in the Labor and Delivery department. This role involves providing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, including prenatal and postpartum education and support. The qualified candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of clinical procedures and ensuring the safety and well-being of mothers and newborns.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 04/19/2027.
• Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of experience in postpartum or L&D, valid compact nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum and neonatal assessments, infant identification, phototherapy, thermoregulation, postpartum hemorrhage management, and use of electric/manual breast pumps.
• Additional Information: Implantation of blood/blood products, management of epidural and PCA pumps, wound vac care, and handling of postpartum complications. Candidates may be required to float to NICU or L&D units and should be prepared to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. References covering at least one year of recent clinical experience are required. Candidates should respond to specific screening questions regarding prior experience at a Providence facility and be able to work flexible scheduling within the specified window.
