Class A Commercial Driver

111 Hurricane Shoals Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 Position Summary Super‑Sod Class‑A CDL Driver As a Super‑Sod Class‑A CDL Driver you will transport seed, sod, and soil products to customers, ensuring efficient and reliable deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Essential Functions Operate company‑owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations. Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of farm products and materials. Perform required before‑, during‑ and after‑operation user maintenance and provide required reports. Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Operate all MHE or Material Handling Equipment. Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs. Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition. Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations. Required Education and Experience Must be at least 23 years of age. 2+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving. Clean driving record with no major or excessive violations within previous 3 years. Must possess valid Class A CDL and Medical Card, including multi‑state certification status. Must pass background check and drug test. Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles. Alert, focused, and detail oriented. Physically and mentally fit. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Great physical stamina for long driving shifts. Able to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. Proficient using GPS and other routing systems. Map reading and route planning experience. Innate sense of direction. Self‑starter who works well independently. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful. High level of composure and good stress management. High school diploma or GED required. Technical Capacity, Customer/Client Focus, Ethical Conduct, Time Management, Leadership, Problem Solving/Analysis. Physical Demands Company drivers are required to sit and steer for long periods while coordinating multiple body parts. Drivers must operate forklifts used for loading and unloading sod and other farm and retail products, getting in and out of trucks and forklifts multiple times per day. Adequate leg, foot, arm, and hand control is required to climb into cab, operate foot controls, and safely navigate the vehicle. Compensation and Benefits Base Weekly Pay Range: $1,000 – $1,200 per week Drop Pay: $50–$1,000 per week based on daily drops Quarterly Safety Bonus: 10% of total quarterly base pay plus drop pay earnings, based on incident‑free driving and safety compliance.
