Position Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, team-oriented employee to deliver to our business partners. We hold our staff and each other to the highest standards! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage the month end process in line with Sun Theory and related entity procedures. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Perform regular ad hoc analysis on Revenues, COGS, expenses and AR and AP. Identify and assist with business process enhancements. Assist with periodic inventory audits. Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility. Assist with banking activities. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality Be able to ‘wear multiple hats’ as a team player as we establish the organization. Analyze budgets, financial reports, and trends for timely insights. Ensure compliance with external audits. Collaborate with other departments, providing service-oriented support. Ensure consistency in financial reporting methods per regulatory requirements. Support and maintain the best practices in accounting to ensure scalability for future growth. Own the general ledger and most all aspects of data integrity for the company’s ERP. Participate in the regular assessment of how the system(s) meet the needs of the company and balance the cost against company growth. Assist in configuring the central accounting system (ERP – Sage Intacct), data migration, and testing as well as integration with all supporting systems as identified for payroll, revenue tracking and general financial reporting. Own the period close process (month, quarter and year-end). Support the CFO with the reporting needs for any audit or tax planning activities. Research and implement new accounting, disclosure, and reporting standards. Qualifications and Education Requirements Ability to effectively work alone and with a team as a leader as we expand our business in current and new markets / states. Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and finance principles. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Minimum 8 years experience. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct or other ERP Systems. Accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a self-starter. Prioritize and complete tasks with competing deadlines. Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments. BS degree in Accounting strongly preferred. CPA or CFA certification.
