Some of our great benefits include: Paid Holidays & Vacations Weekly Pay Health Benefits & matching 401K Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Program Discount on fitness membership MyIdealDoctor (telehealth) available to ALL employees Responsibilities: Performs daily banking activities and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple companies and accounts Performs daily accounts receivable tasks including billing customers, paying vendors, and reconciling bank statements Manages the mortgage database, which includes entering new mortgages, posting payments, processing ACH drafts, recording payoffs, and communicating with residents Performs and reviews account reconciliations for general ledger accounts on an established routine basis Assists Controllers with accounting functions as assigned Assists other Accounting staff with monthly sales tax reporting and payroll reconciliations as needed Stays current with all accounting developments and trends Ensures the confidentiality and security of all financial files Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field required (4+ years of accounting experience can be substituted for required degree) 3+ years of accounting experience required Accounting software experience required, Timberline Accounting, Newstar, Loan Ledger, and Jenark experience preferred Certifications or Licenses Certifications: CPA preferred A valid Florida Drivers License with acceptable driving history is required Skills and Knowledge: Must be able to read, write and understand English and have good verbal and written communication skills PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment) and working knowledge of construction/accounting software programs is preferred.
